Established in 2017, Student Counselling aims to provide psychological support to international students studying at the University of Pécs. There are typical challenges that foreign students face: learning difficulties, specifics of the socio-cultural environment, problems of self-esteem, isolation. In relation to these Student Counselling pays special attention to overcoming the differences between students' culture of origin and host culture and promoting student well-being. Between December 2017 and November 2018, 44 foreign students benefited from these services. There were 22 students from all faculties of the University of Pécs requesting consultations during this period. The consultants are trained psychologists. The program is led by professionals of the Health Psychology Consultation Service and the Institute of Psychology, Faculty of Humanities, who conduct individual and group consultations. Applicants can ask for their registration via email.
